MY CREATION MYTH
by Lauren P.

In the beginning there was only one big ocean that extended over the whole Earth. In the whole ocean all there was, was a large shell around the top of the world and at the bottom of the world there was a girl. Her name was Darinaska. Darinaska was still very young.

But Darinaska was no ordinary girl, she could hold her breath long time and her clothes were covered with hundreds of shining sequins.

Darinaska wanted some one to play with. She remembered there was a shell at the north end of the ocean. It would make what ever you wanted if you put something of value in it.

So she set off to look for the shell. This, she said to herself was her own personal quest. After three days of swimming she came to the shell. But she had nothing of value. Except! She fingered the the cloth of her clothes and tore off a sequin. She placed it in the shell. Then she said “I want a human child, a girl.” The shell lit up and opened.

Inside was a girl just about Darinaska’s age! Darinaska named the girl Lara

Darinaska and Lara spent their days swimming and playing, but Lara grew tired after just a little while of swimming.

So Darinaska made land, plants, animals and more people out of her sequins. Lara lived on the land with all the other people.

Then two people created war; they were Nanners and Lukeski, but Lara stopped the war. But every once and a while they have another fight. That’s where storms came from.
