MY CREATION MYTH
By Alyssa L.
In the beginning there the gods, who lived in the sea, up above was the never ending darkness. The gods were Neemee and Corma who were married. Sorma and Seema were their children.
One day sap looked around and saw just the sea and the darkness. He thought to himself this place needs living creatures and vegetation. So he went to his father Neemee permission to do so and if so what would he need to do. his father said he thought it was a good idea. He also told him if he wanted to do this he had to travel many days to the far end of the ocean and get the greenest seaweed, the bumpiest rock, the tritest shell, and the finest sand.
Sorma the traveled many days, and soon got tired but he couldn’t go back to his father a failer so he went on. Then in the far distance he saw some seaweed waving around in the water. He ran up to it and picked it out of the sand. The sand that was under the seaweed was pure white, he then picked up a handful and put it a little bag he had been carrying.
Now all he needed to find was the the rock and sea shell. So Sorma walked feather and all of the sudden he heard tripped. When he stood up and turned around to see what he had tripped on he was filled with joy. It was the rock he picked it up and under the rock was the shell.
After a few days he had returned home. Neemee then told him to go to the center of the sea and so he did. Then he said,”go to the surface and sprinkle the sand on the water.” when he did land spread over half of the water. Next he through the seaweed towards the land when it hit huge trees popped up everywhere. Then he through the rock mountain sky high came up from the ground. Last he through the shell straight up it grew larger and this became the sun. Sorma was happy with his work.
Soon he though I have everything except for living creatures. He told his family this and so they went to work making animals they made every animal that you could ever think of. Neemee then grabbed one of this many little shells full of life sand. He sprinkled it on the animals. they then carried the animals to shore and watched as they adjusted to their new home.
“There is one thing wrong with these animals,” Sorma said. they cannot speak I will create two creators named man and woman. one from his mothers figure and the other from his father. He sprinkled sand on the creator and they came to life, they swam to the land themselves.
Sorma said to the people I am your creator and you shall remember me always and worship me. Neemee heard him say this and he thought to himself why should they worship him I am the one who told him how to make the land and everything on it. It was my sand that brought them to life. They shall worship me he told Sorma this.
Sorma said that to decide who would be the ruler they would have a battle. They each had one day to prepare Sorma made an invisible force field and gathered rocks . Neemee made a healing potion and sharpened his arrows.
On the day of the day of the battle they meet in the middle of the ocean. Seema said, “ Let the war begin.”
Sorma set of his force field and Neemee shot one of his arrows, it hit the force field and bounced of of it and hit Neemee in the chest; he fell on the ground almost dead. Sorma then let off his force field and stated to walk away.
Neemee took the rest of his strength to lift his hand and drink the healing potion. In a few seconds he was fully recovered. He stood up and shot one of his arrows, it hit Sorma in the back. He then fell to the ground and within a few seconds he was dead.
This left Neemee ruler of all the people and land.
