LIFE'S SUNSET
In memory of Olga Wigowsky – by Sandy (Shura) Timoshenko

She left, only a corpse remains
She left to her eternal home
There she’s at rest from life’s turmoil
And she met the One whom she loved with all her soul.
--She left, she finished life’s course,
She finished her journey, a difficult one at that.
She suffered, cried and always prayed
And God heard her, for he loved her.
--She brought her children before the Lord
For grandchildren and great-grandchildren she prayed
So they would serve the Lord in this life
So they would not be under bondage to evil.
--Without complaints lived our Sister Olga
For everything she was thankful from her heart
For rain, good days, and bad days
For days in communion with God were good.
--She didn’t accomplish any great deeds
She wasn’t famous among people
But her achievements were written in God’s record,
And He’ll give her an award accordingly.
--She kept the Faith ‘till her last day
And this faith is that God is strong
To resurrect her in that Last Day
And lead her to the promised, glorified mansion

She left, we accompany her body
And this body will wait for
The Great Trumpet sound, when with everyone
She’ll resurrect to stand to Life again.

She left, but we’re still on our way
And who of us will be next to leave
For life can suddenly come to an end
To which Eternity, my friend, will your soul go?

Again the Lord sends a signal
And says, “Prepare, Man!
You won’t live forever on this planet,
For life on earth is short.”

When Heaven’s Joy is Mine

When I see Life’s final sunset
There’ll be no cause to weep for me,
For the dawn will bring the victory
When my savior’s face I see.

CHORUS:
What a great homecoming,
What a Morning,
As I leave this world behind
Forever with loved ones rejoicing
When heaven’s joy is mine.

I will say good-bye to sorrow,
And I will bid farewell to pain.
Then I’ll kneel before my Jesus,
There to ever praise his name.

CHORUS

When we’re inside the gates of pearl,
We’ll learn a lot of things.
We’ll have a heart that’s made of gold,
Perhaps a thousand strings.

We’ll sing and shout and dance about,
The lamb will dry our tears.
We’ll have a grand homecoming week
The first 10,000 years.

CHORUS

Forever with loved ones rejoicing,
When heaven’s joy is mine.

When heaven’s joy is mine.

(Song Dedicated to Olga Wigowsky, my beloved mother)
